I’ve been hearing rumblings that Facebook might start charging a monthly subscription fee to keep and use a profile. Is this true, or just another unfounded rumor?
No. Sites like Facebook and Myspace make tons of money from advertisements alone. A subscription fee would only turn away both current and potential users. There would really be no need to them to charge users.
